Body Language: An understanding of horse language is the key to connecting with your horse for riding. This 2 day course shows you the ins and outs of the nearly nonverbal horse in a natural setting with the herd. Come learn how to communicate with the horse in a language that the horse will understand while you gain confidence and the necessary skills to speak to the horse in his own language. Class includes: notebook, notes and lessons to practice during class time and at home.
Seat clinics Come improve your balance and position essential for proper communication and executing riding commands. Class sizes are limited to 14. Riders receive specific exercises to help you attain your proper position based on your personal build.
Returning Riders If life has made it impossible to ride for three to five riding seasons then enroll you and your horse in this program. Come refresh your riding skills and feel confident riding this season.
Rider Restart: Now it is your time! If you had horses as a child or a young adult but gave it up for a time period for life duties then enroll in the RiderRestart Program and regain your foundation.
Visualization Horses do not use verbal language to communicate with people and are rarely vocal with one another. Come learn the power and the art of visualization and develop a better safer way to communicate with your horse.
Rider Recovery: College for Kids Is your child horse crazy? College for Kids is an introduction which teaches kids the basics of riding and horse handling. Contact Lewis and Clark Community College
Young Horsemen: Has your child attended College for Kids and wants more? Young Horsemen teaches your horse how to be a great rider, the basics of care, how to select the right horse and equipment and the basics of training. Young Horsemen meets on the school holidays and three camps a year.
Horse and Rider Program Need a better foundation with your horse? The Horse and Rider Program is dedicated to making a firm foundation between horse and rider. Classes meet once a month for 8 months for 2 days each session. Class includes a notebook, notes from our scribe, individual lesson plans and homework relevant to your needs. Class sizes are limited to 7 horses per session and 20 observers.
